Venice Beach California
Venice Beach California is one of the most unique beach areas in Southern California. Located right below Santa Monica and right above Manhattan Beach in Los Angeles, this is one community that still has a 60's type feel with street vendors and entertainers lining up along the boardwalk areas. Vendors include everything from artists to poets, musicians, comedians, political view booth and even occasional dancers and dj's.
This is the only beach location in Southern California that allows any type of vender with a sellers permit to occupy and take up a space at the boardwalk to sell or entertain beach goers.
Venice Beach is probably best known for some of the ecclectic personalities that frequent the area along with some of the unique murals and art painted around buildings in the area including a 30 foot mural of Jim Morrison.
If you are looking for a cool beach to check out and a nice boardwalk to walk on with lots of little shops and a flea market type setting then Venice Beach is the spot.
