When coming to San Diego coming to Belmont Park in Mission Beach is on the "must do" list of places to visit.
Belmont Park was orginally opened in 1925 as "The Mission Beach Amusement Center" and has been entertaining visitors for over 80 years. The park consists of adult rides like The Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, which also opened with the park in 1925 and is the second oldest wooden roller coaster in the country, and rides for smaller children including arcade and video games.
Belmont Park is also home to some of the most scenic park land and beach areas in Southern California with tons of palm trees, flowers and green grass covering the surrounding landscape.
If you are looking for a great spot for breakfast lunch or dinner, then Belmont Park is the spot to visit. Make sure to check out the rooftop deck at Canes Bar and Grill for lunch, or check out the new North Shore cafe right on the boardwalk and nest to the Wave House which also provides an excellent lunch and dinner menu along with a man made 10 foot wave machine that sends surfers out doing some of the hottest tricks and manuevers.
